The industrial operations and processes involve a high amount of risk, and if they are not done efficiently, it can cause heavy loss of work, property and life; hence these operations are performed with the help of highly sophisticated and precise equipments. Some of the main operations that are performed in every industry are welding, grinding, nut splitting, etc. The tools that are used for such operations include hand grinders, cylindrical grinders, different types of wrenches, welding torches, flame cutters, nut splitters, etc. Use of these tools saves time and efforts of the worker and gives you very efficient and precise results.

One major operation that is performed in many industries is spreading and lifting of flanges in pipelines. A flange is a type of coupling that is used for creating a joint between two ends of pipes. A pipe flange is fastened using very heavy duty bolt and a leak proof packing, which gives you a very effective and efficient joint. There is a variety of pipe flanges that is available in the market such as neck flange, threaded flange, overall flange, plate weld flange, etc. The type of flange you should select for your pipeline depends greatly on two main factors, which are the purpose of the flange and the working conditions of the flange such as temperature, pressure and the weather condition of the flange. These factors must be kept in mind before buying a flange for a particular pipeline.

The main job of a pipe flange is to provide efficient joints to prevent leakage of any type of fluids from the pipeline; hence the flange is fastened very tightly on the pipe end to avoid any risk of leakage through that joint. Due to a very high amount of force used during the fastening of bolt, it becomes very difficult to remove that flange in future for replacement or repair. Most of the people use methods like mechanical impacts to separate or lift pipe flange, which is not advisable. Sometimes, you might damage the assembly or the pipeline in the quest for removal a particular flange. Additionally, if you are working in an oil or gas field, using mechanical impact can be even dangerous as mechanical impacts create sparks, which can cause fatal accidents at the work field.

In order to perform this operation in a safe and efficient manner, hydraulic flange spreaders are used. Hydraulic flange spreader is highly sophisticated equipment, which can remove a pipe flange from its place without taking much time and without causing any damage to the pipeline of the assembly. The hydraulic flange spreaders can be used in a combination of two or more, which allow you to use them on any size of flange you want. Using flange spreader is also safer as it does not create any types of sparks during its operation. Using hydraulic flange spreader is the best method to remove pipe flanges in minimum possible time with minimal efforts.
