Importance of different tools used in any industry

In industries, the most precious assets are the manpower as they provide you the best functionality and efficiency from the industry. In order to allow the workers to work at their best capacity, it is important to provide them with proper tools and equipment that will help them in delivering their best performance. The tools and equipment used in an industry are of very high importance as they help the workers in doing a particular task in very little time and that also with very high accuracy.

The major industrial tools that are commonly used in industries are classified into two major types- one is fixed tools and the other is handheld tools. Here are some details about them.

Fixed Tools

The fixed tools are heavy duty tools that are used for performing several heavy tasks such as cutting thick metal sheets, machining of heavy metal parts such as turning, boring, etc. As these tools are very heavy in weight, they cannot be moved from one point to another easily and frequently, hence they are fixed at one place in the industry and the work-piece is brought to the machines for any operation or process. Some of the major fixed tools that are used in industries include milling machines, CNC machines, Lathe machines, and many others. 

Handheld tools

The handheld tools are the ones that are used frequently by the workers for performing many major and important tasks and operations in the industry. The best thing about the handheld tools is that they can be easily held and taken to different parts of the industry; hence it becomes very easy to perform on a certain work-piece without moving it from its place. Some of the handheld tools used in industries are as follows

Wrenches

Wrenches are the bolting tools that are majorly used for tightening and loosening of bolts, nuts and fasteners. Use of proper bolting tools ensures better safety and quality of the products. Some of the major wrenches used in industries include impact wrenches, torque wrenches, open end wrenches, box wrenches, etc. 

Drilling machines

When you need to make a hole for fixing a screw or a fixture, handheld drilling machines are used. The drilling machine makes holes in a very accurate manner and in very less time. Different sizes of drill bits can be used with a single drilling machine for making several different sizes of holes. 

Grinders

Grinders are used for removing a thin layer of metal from a work-piece. Grinders are also used for reducing the size of a product, obtaining smooth and lustrous texture and eliminating any open ends of metal. 

One problem with handheld tools is that they occupy the hands of the worker and reduce his efficiency. For this, tool balancers are used which hold the tools for the worker leaving their hands free for other tasks.
