boiler in to safe working limits. Crossing safe working limits can damage the
equipments and can also lead to hazardous accidents. For example, if the
pressure of steam in a boiler goes higher than the prescribed value, it can

The second main
aspect of keeping your boiler healthy for long time is maintenance of the
boiler. Here, maintenance refers to
cleaning of the tubes and shell of the boiler along with proper inspection and
repair of defective components and devices mounted on a boiler.
The cleaning of
boiler tubes is done to remove the sludge and scale from the inner surface of
the boiler tube. This sludge and scale get deposited on the inner surface of
the tubes with the prolonged use of boiler. If this scale is not removed on
time, it can lower the efficiency of the boiler and also it can cause the tubes

After the tubes
of the boiler are cleaned and freed from scale and sludge, the next step of
maintenance of boiler is to carry out a thorough inspection of all the boiler

components as operating a boiler without properly working safety devices and
components can result in fatal hazards.
