Without these tools and equipment, industries cannot work in an efficient way. The industrial tools prove to be the best friends of the workers as they contribute to increase the productivity, as well as accuracy of the workers without much labor. Here are given some of the tools that are widely used in industries.
Lathe machines
Lathe machines are very versatile machines, which are used for a variety of tasks such as turning, facing, drilling, boring and many other operations. Most of the small metal products are machined here. The tool post of the lathe machine uses many small tools to perform various tasks. Nowadays, even computer numeric controlled or CNC lathe machines are also available, which have very high production rate and accuracy.
Drilling machines
When you need to make hole in metal or any other surface, drilling machines are used. These holes are made to insert fastener for the purpose of fastening a fixture or part. Drilling machines work using drill bits of varying sizes for different sizes of hole. Drilling machines come in both fixed types and portable sizes.
Grinding machines
Grinding machines or grinders are used for removal of a thin metal layer from the outer surface to obtain a shiny and smooth texture of the product. The grinders are also used for reducing the size of a metal part to fit in a particular place. Grinding is also done for rounding the sharp ends, which are big safety threats at workplace. Grinding is also used for cutting heavy rods and angles, which cannot be taken to heavy metal cutting machines. There are basically three types of grinders used industries namely cylindrical grinders, hand grinders and angle grinders. The cylindrical grinders are fixed ones while hand grinders and angle grinders are portable and can be taken to various parts of the industry.
Wrenches
Wrenches are mainly used for tightening and loosening of bolts and fasteners. Proper bolting operations are necessary for better safety, efficiency and better quality of the products. For efficient and better bolting operations, wrenches are used. Wrenches are available in various types and each type has a certain purpose. Some of the mainly used wrenches in industries include, hydraulic torque wrenches, pneumatic impact wrenches, pipe wrenches, box end wrenches, open end wrenches, adjustable wrenches etc.
Welding sets
Welding is the process used for joining two different metal parts, which are broken. Welding is done by inserting molten metal between the surfaces to be joined. Various type of welding sets used in industries include electrical welding, MIG welding, Gas welding, Arc welding, etc.
