Bolting tools- A must have for any industry

An important part of any industry is the industrial tools that are used by workers for various tasks and operations. If there are no proper tools and equipments available in an industry, you cannot expect that industry to perform at its best. If a worker is provided with proper tools and equipments, he can give his 100% to his job and perform in a better way. Additionally, use of proper tools leads to more accurate and precise work in a very less time.

One such type of tools that are necessary for any type of industry is bolting tools. Bolting operations are performed on regular basis in any industry, and hence, bolting tools are a must have for every industrial plant for better productivity and functionality. If you want to fasten a stud or a fastener, it is not possible without proper bolting tools. Some of the major bolting tools that are used majorly in industries are as follows.

Impact wrenches  

The wrenches, which use a heavy impact force on studs and fasteners to give them a circular motion, are called impact wrenches. The circular motion so given is responsible for loosening and tightening of the fasteners. As impact wrench use a very high impact force, normal sockets cannot be used with them or they will deform or shatter in a very short time span. Impact wrenches are used with specially designed impact sockets, which are made from high speed carbon steel and are capable of bearing the heavy impacts during operation. Impact wrenches are available in three different types- electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic wrenches. Impact wrenches are not very accurate, and hence, are used where there is no need for very high degree of precision. 

Torque wrenches

Torque wrenches use a radial force to rotate the fastener leading to its loosening or tightening. The torque wrenches are used in operation in which there is a need for very high precision and accuracy. The best thing about torque wrenches that make them highly accurate and precise is the metre provided on them to read the force applied on the fastener. This allows you to determine when to stop applying force on the fastener. This prevents over tightening of fasteners and prevents them from breakage. Torque wrenches are available in three types, which are simple, pneumatic and hydraulic torque wrench. If you want quite and accurate operations, torque wrenches are best for you. 

Nut splitters

One of the major problems is to remove a jammed nut from the assembly. When a nut gets jammed, you need to hammer it to remove it from the place but this can cause damage to the assembly. A nut splitter can help in removing a jammed nut from its place without causing any damage to the assembly. It is also good for places where inflammable substances or gases are involved as it does not create any sparks during operation making it a safer alternative for removing jammed nuts and fasteners.
